Should I fight my ticket?
Three quick questions for an honest read. (For a recommendation on your actual ticket, the TicketPilot app reads it from a photo.)
1. What kind of ticket is it?
2. Do you have grounds to dispute it?
3. Fine amount (optional)
Frequently asked questions
Does paying a ticket admit guilt?
Generally yes — paying is usually treated as pleading guilty, which can add points and affect insurance for moving violations. That’s why it’s worth checking before you pay.
Is it ever not worth contesting?
If a ticket adds no points, the fine is small, and you have no real grounds, the time cost of contesting may outweigh the benefit. Parking tickets with a clear signage or meter defense are the exception — those are often worth it.
How does TicketPilot decide?
The app reads your actual ticket and weighs the violation, amount, points/insurance impact, and likely grounds — then gives a recommendation with reasons. This tool is a simpler version.
